Ecuador - Ecuador & The Enchanted Isles (15 days)

This trip provides a fantastic Ecuador experience. You will cruise the waters of the Galapagos Islands National Park for 8 days onboard the M.Y. San Jose. The vessel offers safety and comfort and an itinerary that provides an incredible wildlife experience. Returning to Quito you explore the city's colonial heart and then travel to the Cotococha Jungle Lodge. Located on the banks of the Napo River, the lodge is your base for exploring the amazing Amazon jungle. Your local Indian guide will share their great knowledge of the surrounding flora and fauna.

Returning to the Andes again you arrive in the mountain village of Banos, famous for its amazing setting and excellent outdoor activities. Before returning to Quito you'll hike to the Cotopaxi Volcano lookout for fantastic views across the Andes.

• Day 1: (Mon) Arrive Quito and transfer to hotel.
• Day 2: Fly to Baltra, transfer to San Jose. Visit Las Bachas.
• Days 3-5: Explore the islands including Rabida, Santiago and Bartolome. Visit Santa Cruz Island, including Darwin Research Station and the Highlands.
• Days 6-8: Discover San Cristobal Island Interpretation Centre. Cruise to Espanola Island and Floreana Island.
• Day 9: Return to Baltra and fly back to Quito.
• Day 10: Sightseeing of colonial Quito.
• Days 11-12: Drive to Cotococha Amazon Jungle Lodge via Papallacta thermal springs. Jungle and river excursions.
• Days 13-14: Drive to Banos via El Pailon del Diablo waterfall. Free day in Banos for optional activities.
• Day 15: Return to Quito via the Cotopaxi Volcano.
• Day 16: Tour ends in Quito after breakfast (Tue).
