New Zealand - Absolute NZ

Overland NZ tours are a unique concept in New Zealand travel. They offer inclusive, guided overland adventure tours & holidays in New Zealand that range from 5 to 30 days; from Auckland to the Bay of Islands to Queenstown and Milford Sound; so whether it's a short holiday or a longer adventure tour you are after, Overland NZ has a wide range of options to suit everyone. Tours are designed to cater to all fitness levels and ages and we use different forms of accommodation to suit - camping / hotels/ farm stays + lodges. They are not hop-on hop-off tours; they are fully guided tours with set departures.

The fully equipped and self sufficient overland truck allows us to stray off the well worn tourist trails letting travellers to see not only all of the country's main sites, but some of New Zealand's hidden gems too. There is plenty of time for adventure activities: bungy jumping, white-water rafting or hiking to the top of glaciers etc; but you will also be able to relax and sip some of the best New Zealand wine available.

Absolute NZ is the longest tour currently available. We pack in as much of New Zealand as possible on this tour around both the North and South Islands. Departing Auckland we head north to the beautiful Bay of Islands where you can visit Cape Reinga and 90 mile beach. We visit the beautiful beach town of Leigh before crossing over to the Coromandel Peninsula, stopping at Hahei and then Rotorua. The East Coast is next to enjoy Napier and Hastings. The capital city of Wellington is where we board our ferry bound for the South Island. Travelling through Blenheim and along the coast line we arrive in Kaikoura, where you have the chance to go Whale Watching before we continue onto Christchurch. Crossing the Canterbury Plains we make our way inland, to the amazing Southern Alps. Heading back out to the coast we stop in Dunedin before heading into the Milford Sound and Queenstown. The rugged West Coast is next as we make our way to Franz and Fox Glaciers and Punakaiki before having the chance to explore Abel Tasman National Park. Crossing back into the North Island we travel via Pipiriki, Rangitikei and National Park before carrying on to the Waitomo Caves. We have a final camp stop to prepare for the final drive back to Auckland.
