UAE (Dubai) & Oman - Arabian Seatrek (7 days)
This short adventure takes us to the astonishing Musandam Peninsula, Oman's rugged and arid northern tip, for an up close and personal look at one of Arabia's best-kept secrets. Using a traditional dhow, we explore the fjords and islands of this barren land, swimming in azure waters and stopping overnight at remote coves.
- Day 1: Arrive Dubai
- Day 2: Khasab - Situated on the azure waters of the Gulf of Oman, Khasab is home to around 16,000 people - a population which increases in the summer by local people migrating to help with the date harvests.
- Day 3-4: Dhow Cruise - Board a traditional dhow boat for three days of exploring the captivating Musandam coast. The turquoise waters of the Gulf of Oman contrast with the creamy white limestone cliffs. Passing narrow inlets and sweeping bays, we will head to a small group of islands off the northern tip of the Musandam peninsula.
- Day 5: Khasab - Visit Telegraph Island, which is home to playful dolphins who swim in these desert fjords before returning back to Khasab.
- Day 6: Dubai
- After the morning - Trip to the highest mountain in Musandam, we will travel into the lonely, barren interior of UAE, taking in the contrasting scenery of blue coastlines, fjords, and lush green fields in this sparsely populated area. Stop at Bukha Fort before reaching Dubai.
- Day 7: Depart Dubai
