Oman is filled with a rich history of wealth, power and dominance from as far a field as India and Zanzibar. Vast deserts, endless coastlines and rugged mountains dotted with forts make up the diverse landscapes of this unique country on the Arabian Peninsula. Outside the capital, Muscat, there are few tourists and the open warmth and hospitality of the local people is untarnished.

We explore desert dunes, take time to wander through traditional market places and absorb the fascinating history, which as recently as 30 years ago was closed to foreigners. On this tour through Oman we see bedouin settlements in the Wahiba Sands, observe Green Back Turtles, walk in the dramatic canyons of Jebal Sham and journey by 4WD through the Hajar Mountains back to impressive Muscat.
