Nepal - Everest & Tesi Lapcha (26 days)

This adventure will suit the ambitious trekker looking to ascend their first Himalayan peak in a wild and remote corner of Nepal We drive from the mystical city of Kathmandu to Charikot where we start our trek. The trail initially follows the Bhote Kosi Valley before ascending through terraced hillsides to Simigoan. From here we head through wilderness terrain to reach the remote Sherpa settlements of Beding and Na in the Upper Rolwaling Valley. We are introduced to mountaineering techniques at Ramdung Peak Base Camp before making an attempt on the peak. The climb is straightforward with the only steep section being the final few metres below the summit cone where we will place a fixed rope for safety. Following the attempt on Ramdung Peak we tackle the difficult and demanding crossing of Tesi Lapcha Pass, regarded as one of the toughest approaches to the Everest region. From the top of the pass the mountain scenery is sensational with panoramic views looking deep into Tibet and the Everest region. The descent off the pass is just as tricky as the ascent and leads to the Sherpa capital of Namche Bazaar. We then head down the Dudh Kosi Valley to Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu.
