Costa Rica (15 days)
The stunning national parks of Costa Rica are endowed with some of the greatest diversity of flora and fauna in the world. Tortuguero on the northern Caribbean shore is the nesting ground of the rare green turtle, whilst the lush maze of deltas host a seemingly endless array of tropical birds and reptiles. Further south, dense rainforest encroaches on the pristine gold and black sand beaches of Cahuita.
After time for relaxation we depart for Arenal, our base for exploring the birdwatcher's paradise of Cano Negro. In Monteverde we explore large areas of untouched forest from the amazing Sky Walk - a series of suspension bridges high up in the cloud forest canopy. In the volcanic region of Rincon de la Vieja, bubbling mud pools combine with tropical dry forest and enchanting waterfalls, providing a haven for amazing wildlife.
