Belize - Belize Kayaking Adventure (12 days)
Welcome to the most satisfying way to experience the smallest Central American country, where we sail, paddle and snorkel our way along the wild southern Barrier Reef, camp on idyllic tropical islets and discover the Cockscomb Basin Jaguar Reserve. We venture deep into the heart of Belize, combining hiking and paddling as we explore the interior to Belize's largest wildlife sanctuary. The reserve supports the highest concentrations of jaguars north of the Amazon Basin, among a myriad of other wildlife viewing opportunities.
Our exciting and challenging river-run is combined with a rich cultural experience, as we travel into the heartland of the Maya people in the company of our Mayan guides. We swap our river kayaks for sea kayaks and paddle the turquoise waters of the Caribbean coast to remote coral reefs. Here dolphins, sea turtles and eagle rays provide exciting interludes as our kayaks skim across the seas. In the evenings we settle into camp on secluded beaches where our Garifuna and Creole guides prepare delicious meals and tell stories of their native Belize.
