Australia - NT - Katherine & Beyond – Indigenous Trek (7 days)
We begin at the remote Aboriginal community of Manyallaluk, in an area our local hosts call "the Dreaming Place". Spending time with our local indigenous guide our unique Aboriginal cultural experience at Manyallaluk prepares us spiritually for the splendour of what lies ahead. Trekking through the Katherine River valley into Nitmiluk (Katherine) Gorge we get the rare opportunity to explore all thirteen gorges on foot, as many are usually only accessible from the air.
At Ninth Gorge we embark in our canoes, paddling all the way down to Nitmiluk Visitor Centre. This memorable adventure immerses us completely in the cultural, geological and visual grandeur for which Nitmiluk National Park is renowned worldwide.
