PNG - Kokoda Track - 10 days
Stretching nearly 100km over the Owen Stanley Ranges is the infamous Kokoda Track. Made famous by Australian soldiers during the Second World War and their bloody battle for survival against the Japanese Imperial Army, the Kokoda Track now represents to many Australians a rite of passage.
For 8 days and 7 nights, you will have the opportunity to glimpse into the conditions soldiers endured during the war. From muddy ascents and descents to pristine river crossings to simple village life, your walk across the Kokoda Track will be a walk into the past, a living museam if you will.
But the Kokoda Track is so much more than the past. It is about the present too, pushing your own mental and physical levels to new heights. You will return home changed in some way from the experience. Whether it was that particular hill or the wonderful people you meet along the way, Kokoda has a transforming effect.
No Roads Expeditions has become the number one Australian Led expedition company in PNG. The way we treat our Porters, the environment and the local villages along the way has given us a reputation second to none.
No Roads offers you the chance to experience Kokoda in three different ways. We have 2 types of expeditions that will walk you the entire length of the Kokoda Track, one led by an Australian Guide and one led by one of our well trained and experienced Local guides. The third expedition is what we call Short Kokoda where you will walk from Kokoda to Isurava Battlefield and back, giving you an insight into the terrain and history of the complete Track.
