In the country's sleepy capital, Vientiane, you will be welcomed with a traditional baci ceremony and enjoy a game of petanque (similar to lawn bowls only a lot more fun!) We travel overland to Vang Vang Vieng, a beautiful riverside town with loads of fun outdoor activities on offer.

In Luang Prabang, check out the local waterfalls, take an elephant trek and cruise the Mekong to a wonderful eco-lodge, where you can try your hand at traditional rural activities like fishing and rice planting.
