Mongolia - Mongolian Yak Safari (14 days)

Mongolia is a land of stark and often spectacular beauty. Explore one steppe beyond - so far off the beaten track there's no track at all! We wander the countryside at a leisurely pace using yaks as our support vehicles in true nomadic style. There is time to relax in our eco-friendly ger camps, as well as a train trip to give you a taste of the Trans Mongolian Railway! You won't find a more authentic Mongolian experience anywhere - we guarantee it!

• Day 1 -(Sun) Arrive in Ulaanbaatar and transfer to hotel.
  
• Day 2 -Trans-Mongolian train to Shivee Gobi in Gobi desert. Transfer to ger camp at Ikh Nart Nature Reserve.
  
• Day 3-4 -Explore conservation area. Optional activities are available from traditional crafts to active exploring in the area.
  
• Days 5 -Drive back to Ulaanbaatar, free afternoon.
  
• Days 6-8 -Visit to Gandan Monastery, drive to forests of upper Tuul River Valley.
  
• Days 8-9 -Drive to Arburd Sands. Visit Zorgol Hairhan Mountain.
  
• Days 9-12-Yak Trek, staying in gers
  
• Days 13 -Return to Ulaanbaatar for our final night.
  
• Day 14 -Trip ends in Ulaanbaatar this morning (Sat).
