Antarctica - Antarctic Peninsular (11 days World Expeditions)
Words cannot adequately describe the magnificence of the Antarctic Peninsula and the South Shetland Islands. We shall explore the pristine coast and islets of the Peninsula by ship and zodiac, viewing prolific wildlife, dramatic landscapes, huge icebergs and visiting sites of historical and scientific interest. We stress that this is an expedition style cruise and we shall be taking every opportunity available to leave the ship and explore. The program will vary to take advantage of local conditions and spontaneous opportunities such as whale watching and wildlife encounters. We will make regular landings using our fleet of zodiacs and walk among the multitude of penguin rookeries and seal colonies in the vicinity of Deception Island, Gerlache Strait, Paradise Bay and feast our eyes on the magnificent Lemaire Channel. Andrew and our team of Antarctic experts will always be on hand to ensure that you get the most out of your Antarctic wildlife encounters.
